Bass Guitar/Vocals
Rob Tyler Jr. Bass Guitar/backing Vocals - Rob Tyler Jr. is from Willingboro NJ and has been playing as a musician since the age of 6 when he started piano. Although he didn't start the bass until about age 10 he knew that was going to be his first love instrument the day he saw the cover of the Album "Diana Ross Presents the Jackson 5" and viewed the red and white Fender Precision bass that Jermaine Jackson had in his grasp. From there it was a musical love affair that continues to this day.

Rob has been performing as a musician since age 12 and over the years has played with multiple bands including Chicago 9 as a backup keyboardist. He currently is on the music ministry staff at St John Baptist church playing bass, keyboard, organ as well as providing accompaniment and direction for several choirs. He has also had the privilege of playing for multiple recording artists over the years (the late Edwin Hawkins, Jean Carn and Angela Burton to name a few) in and around the tri-state area. on both bass and keyboards.

Rob has expressed that becoming a member of the Chicago 9 band as a bassist / vocalist is a fulfillment of a lifelong desire to play this instrument on a regular basis in a quality musical environment and describes this experience as being "exceeding and abundantly above anything I could hope or aspire to be involved with". "The instrument I first held in my arms like one beloved, an extension of myself is coming into fruition with the opportunity the Lord has given me". Rob has indicated he's ready to work and grow with the band and looks forward with much anticipation to this part of his musical journey.
